paintings for power, beauty and transformation

The paintings represented here are transferred mainly from slides.

I did many of the still lifes, interiors and nude sketches when I was a graduate student at The American University in Washington, D.C. The small, brightly colored, imaginary ones were done in Santa Cruz, in my yurt studio by and under a small redwood grove. A few were done in Corsica, France.

The self – portraits were mainly done when I was living in Boston and attending the School of the Museum of Fine Arts there. The watercolor and pastel landscapes are from when I was vacationing on Block Island, Rhode Island, in Long Island Sound, with my in-laws, or in Santa Cruz.

The quick pen sketches were done either in Paris or in Washington, D.C. in the 1980’s, or occasionally in Santa Cruz, Corsica, Israel or New York.

This site is a small fraction of the inventory that exists from those times and places.
